THE MUSICAL STORY
The opening scene is set on a Bank Holiday in
two thousand and something.
Ali is with her friends at the annual ‘party in the park’.
She is wondering what she can do with her life.
Hopefully something more exciting than
drifting into any old job.
She’s a dreamer and thus, when her friends wander off
to enjoy the party, she sits beneath a tree and reads
from her favourite old book.
She closes her eyes, thinking of exciting times to come,
and she slips into a deep sleep.
Suddenly the characters in that old book come vividly
to life in front of her eyes and she is off on the
great adventure to Wonderland.
When she wakes she has an overwhelming sensation
that if she wants something enough then anything
is possible, that ‘Dreams Can Come True’.
All the most well known and loved characters are brought
to life in this unique adaptation of the classic story.
The music covers several genres making the production
perfect for all age groups and audiences.
This exciting musical version of the classic story made its stage
debut in 2002 with a
successful theatre tour.
